Spring Update
Spring has sprung, as have the Lady Cruisers of the Ozarks. This past weekend we were in full bloom soakin’ up the sunshine and tearing up the miles between Springfield and West Plains…and then some. We met up with a couple of fellow members from a sister chapter of WOW, enjoying lunch at the Dawg House in West Plains.
The next big event on our agenda is the annual mileage contest kick-off in Jefferson City, MO, upon the Capitol steps. Each year, all of the chapters in Missouri meet up for a group photo and some lunch to get a ‘leg up’ on the competition. All of the states compete each year to accumulate the most miles ridden collectively for their state. Missouri can proudly boast of having won that very competition SEVENyears running. Did I mention we are proud?!?!?! ? Come join us, and help us rack up those miles!
Up next, the local Motorcycle Awareness Ride will take place on April 22. This is a great time for hundreds of motorcyclists from Springfield and surrounding areas to come together and remind the ‘cagers’ that we are back out on the road and to be watchful of us. The ride will begin at Remington’s on Republic Road after all bikes are checked in and registered. It is a great time to come out and meet many of your fellow bikers. Lady Cruisers will be out in force with a banner and a table set up for you to come by and meet us…and discuss YOU becoming one of our newest members! ?
After that, one of our greatest events will be due up during the first weekend in June. Our annual Missouri WOW state rally will be hosted by the Heartland Chapter in St. Louis, MO. It sounds like the ladies of the Heartland have a FABULOUS weekend in store for us.
So…bottom line…if you would like to be a part of a great group of gals who love to ride and love to share the company of other women riders, please get in touch with us and/or join us for a monthly meeting so we can get to know you. We are always looking for more ladies who share our passion for two wheels…who love to get out and enjoy the freedom and therapy that only a motorcycle can provide…and who we hope to call friend.
